When I decided to sell Ravenswood last September, I knew it might take time to find the right steward for this unique property. Then a major shift in the local real estate market made that reality very clear. Over the past several months, I have been invited again and again to trust in divine timing. Because I did, the Universe validated that trust in some truly magical ways.
Looking back, I can see how deeply guided and supported I have been throughout this entire process. I will admit there were moments when I wondered if I was actually meant to leave. Trust has been my compass.
So many pieces had to align for this sale to unfold with grace and ease, not only for me, but for the buyers, who turned out to be neighbours. I am grateful that I was able to recognize the signs that everything was moving exactly as it needed to.
The 8 months it took to sell gave me the time and space to release a place I love so dearly. And of course it took 8 months... I should have known!
In March, my son found a new job and began a new chapter in a new city. Had the property sold any sooner, he would have been left wondering where he was going next. As an added bonus, I was able to send him off with a truckload of furniture.
On the day he left, a bald eagle appeared at the end of our driveway. At the time, I understood it as a symbol of freedom as he embarked on a new path. Since the sale, however, I have realized the eagle was carrying a second message. It was perched in a tree on the property where the new buyers lived, and as I would later discover, they were about to begin their search for a new home. The date was March 8th - 03.08 (three 8s)!
The purchase offer arrived on the New Moon and was finalized on the Full Moon. The sale price even contains just the right number of 8s to remind me that everything was perfectly aligned for this next chapter to begin.
I am also very grateful that I won't be packing up a five bedroom cabin and five outbuildings in the dead of winter. It's a big enough undertaking to accomplish in five weeks when the weather is beautiful! This event-managing Virgo is ready to accept the challenge.
I have owned this property for 16 years (two 8s) and for the past 8 years it has served as both a catalyst and sanctuary for my spiritual awakening. I will be forever grateful for the support of this community, my local clients, and my collaborators. Thank you.
On July 8th, I will leave for my next adventure in Quebec. I am excited to discover what my soul has in store for me. I will continue to believe in the magic and mystery of this journey and trust the signs and synchronicities that have always guided me exactly where I am meant to be.
Something tells me a few more 8s will be involved along the way.
